Aspiration Day 2019

Aspiration Day is an annual program which is held by school's student legislative (PK) in 3 Senior High School. Aspiration Day is one of the medium to give our opinion and suggestion for making the school a better place. This event consisted of 2 parts, Festival and KILAS. Festival was held at 26th April 2019. The main goal of Festival was to educate a good way and manner to express opinions. School's student council would interview and do a talkshow with the guests star. The guests star were Ridwan Kamil, Amigdala, and Keri Lestari. KILAS was the final part of Aspiration Day. KILAS is the acronym of Komunikasi Langsung Aspirasi Siswa 3 (Direct Communication of 3 Students' Aspirations). KILAS was a meeting between student council (OSIS), student legislative (PK), each class representative, Headmaster, Vice Headmasters, and caraka. Edelweiss is a well-known white mountain flower. Its name derives from the German word Edelweiß, which is a compound of edel (noble) and weiß (white).
        Edelweiss' leaves and flowers are covered with white hairs, and appear woolly (tomentose).  Each bloom consists of five to six small yellow clustered spikelet-florets (5 mm), surrounded by fuzzy white “petals“, in a double-star formation. Flowering stalks of this flower can grow to a size of 3–20 centimeters in the wild, 40 cm in cultivation. The habitat of edelweiss is rocky limestone places,  at about 1,800–3,000 meters altitude.
        Edelweiss is a perennial plant, a plant that can lives for more than 2 years. It can live up to 3-10 years. This plant blooms between July and September.
        Another things about this plant are; national symbol of Switzerland, non toxic plant so it is used as traditional remedy against abdominal and respiratory diseases, protected by laws, and according to folk tradition, giving this flower to a loved one is a promise of dedication.
