Aspiration Day 2019

Aspiration Day is an annual program which is held by school's student legislative (PK) in 3 Senior High School. Aspiration Day is one of the medium to give our opinion and suggestion for making the school a better place. This event consisted of 2 parts, Festival and KILAS. Festival was held at 26th April 2019. The main goal of Festival was to educate a good way and manner to express opinions. School's student council would interview and do a talkshow with the guests star. The guests star were Ridwan Kamil, Amigdala, and Keri Lestari. KILAS was the final part of Aspiration Day. KILAS is the acronym of Komunikasi Langsung Aspirasi Siswa 3 (Direct Communication of 3 Students' Aspirations). KILAS was a meeting between student council (OSIS), student legislative (PK), each class representative, Headmaster, Vice Headmasters, and caraka. Here, class representative told all the opinions and suggestions from the students. Student legislative also told all the opinions and sugges

Natural Phenomenon : 22° Halo

22° Halo




22° halo is an optical phenomenon in the sky when a ring with a radius of approximately 22° appears around the sun or the moon. When it appears around the moon, it's usually called moon ring or winter halo. It forms when sunlight or moonlight is refracted in hexagonal ice crystals that are suspended in the air. 22° halo appears more frequently than rainbow.

The process of 22° halo formation started with a rays that are deflected through many angles. The majority of rays are deflected through angles near 22° and it's called minimum deviation. This cause the inner edge of halo looks brighter. The inner edge looks bright and the ray is fading away until it's undetectable as it goes to the outer side.  Minimum deviation happened when the refraction at each face is the same and the inner ray is parallel to the intermediate crystal face. 

The line is parallel with the hexagon sides resulting in minimum deviation.


Halo usually appears with another optical phenomenon called sun dog or parhelia, that consists of  a bright spot to one or both sides of the sun.

Bakdes (Bakti Desa) is an mandatory annual event from 3 Senior High School Bandung. The event is compulsory for every 11th grader. This year, bakdes was held from 3rd to 5th January 2019 in Cibeureum Village, Kertasari Sub-District, Bandung District, West Java. The main goal from this event is to teach about life values by trying to "fit-in" with villagers and rural situation. Each villagers' house consisted of 1 team, and 1 team consisted of 4 person. My team member was me, Adila, Alley, and Shafira Nadifa. Our team lived in Teh Ai's house. Teh Ai's family is a cultivator family. Teh Ai was a caring and kind person. When we arrived at the village, we were welcomed by village chief at Cibeureum Village Main Hall. After that, each team went to the villagers' house.
