LDKS (Student Basic Leadership Training)

LDKS (Student Basic Leadership Training) is an mandatory event held by school. It's a training about leadership, patriotism, and discipline. It was held for 3 days in PPI Supratman from Thursday, 21 September to Saturday, 23 November.

The first day, students gathered at Wiratama Field, PPI, Supratman Street to be sorted to their own classes. I got class F after sorted. Then we did an morning ceremony or apel pagi.

After that, we went to hall. We were welcomed by the soldier and we watched a film about PPI. There was also speeches from the Headmaster, Mrs. Yeni Gantini about Leadership, from Mr. Aat Soeratin about Indonesia's diversity, and from soldiers. Then we went back to Wiratama Field to practice line of march until afternoon. When the practice finished, we headed to our own class' barrack. My barrack name was Dharma 2.

In the afternoon, about 17.00 o'clock, the students were allowed to take a bath, then changed their outfit to dark shirt and PDL trousers. The students headed to hall again to listen speeches from soliders about patriotism, Pancasila, Indonesia, and something like that. The speeches took place to 22.00. Then we went to the field again for evening ceremony or apel malam, and then slept in barrack.

When it was 23.30, an alarm rang and OSIS seniors came to the barrack and woke us. They told us (with yelling, of course :)) to change our outfit with complete attributes. I woke late because I felt so tired, so I didn't accomplish that. All the students gathered outside the building. The students that didn't have complete attributes went to the field. We were told to exercise by the soldiers, like push up, sit up like that, and the most aggravating thing is the seniors always yell smh -_- it kinda frustrates me. The students that have complete attributes were being scolded by soldiers, said that they had no sympathy, apathetic, like that. Finally after the storms ended we could peacefully sleep, but we had to wake up at 3.00 to do the prayer.

The second day, after doing the prayer, we gathered at the field to do gymnastics and exercise. Then we were told to take a bath for 3 minutes, but I didn't do it. After that, we went to the field to practice line of march again.

This was the most thrilling and challenging activity, gut's test at night!

We walked from PPI to Taman Makam Pahlawan Cikutra at 17.00. We were given a small paper with a message that we had to memorize it, then we were divided to three groups to enter the memorial park with a main mission, we had to get back safely and don't tell the message to anybody unless it's the soldiers in the main gate. There were 6 station inside. Each station had its own challenge and mission, and the station guard always forced and teased us to give the message.

After we got back safely, we were given a warm tea and food, then all the students went back to PPI by walking.

The third day, the activity was outbound. The outbound had a purpose, to train our leadership and teamwork.

After the outbound ended, we went to the center of barrack to watch G30S PKI film, a film about PKI, a communism political parties in Indonesia that killed 6 general and 1 officer. They did this because they wanted to replace Pancasila to communism ideology. PKI tortured the general and officer with a sadistic way before they killed them.

Then we packed our things and went to Wiratama Field to perform our line of march in front of the parents and finally we were given the certificate, HOORAY :' I felt really happy when LDKS ended, it was like you're free from prison.

Because PPI is near my house so I went back home by walking. That's the end of my LDKS experience.
